So then, as we have opportunity,
let us do good to everyone, and
especially to those who are of the
household of faith. Galations 6:10

In the summer of 2009, Zipporah and Nathaniel Kamau visted our home. Zipporah shared the vision God gave her about collecting shoes to help meet the needs of the widows she was ministering to in Kenya. she ask us if we would help her fulfil that vision by collecting shoes here in America. In our limited understanding, we said, "Yes." At the time, we had no idea what this would involve or where it would lead, we were thinking, how hard can it be to collect a few shoes. We sent letters to several churchs in a three county area explaining what we were doing and asking if they would be interested in helping out. We visitied businesses, dropping off flyers asking for shoe donations or monetary donations to help with shipping cost. We also went to garage sales passing out flyers. We have given presentations at churches, local organizations, TV interviews, and had articles in several different newspapers. Several local businesses agreed to be drop-off locations fr the shoes. In May 2011, we shipped a sea container of 26,000 pair of shoes to Well of Hope International(WOHI) in Kenya, Africa. How that cam about is an act of God. What an awesome God we serve! That day when we said, "Yes", we had no idea how such a simple project could grow and the blesings it would bring. Never under estimate what God can do. We give all the honor and glory to Him!
